Hey y'all how are y'all doing?!
This week I had an eventful week! I went to Menorca on Tuesday and it
was amazing. It is a beautiful island. I am so blessed to be able to
work there every once and a while. I will be going back this weekend
to help with a baptism! And then we had concilio yesterday which was
super great! Concilio is where all of the zone leaders and sister
training leaders (leaders from all over the mission, male and female
alike) go to Barcelona and have a nice meeting with President and
Hermana Dayton. We have it every month near the end of the month and
it is a great experience! But good golly I have been dog tired this
week because of all the flying. I never thought I'd have to get up and
4:30 to go catch a flight on my mission but I've done it and I'm gonna
keep doing it haha. But yeah!
Our week was wonderful. We have been working really hard and putting
our all into the work trying to see what happens. I went on two
intercambios outside of the area this week and they were wonderful.
Elder Bradshaw worked hard and held down the area with ease. He is a
great missionary and a really hard worker. And as I've said earlier he
just has that "it factor" that just makes people trust him easily.
Our we was nothing short of miraculous. Something that we have been
doing every night is sharing a miracle that we have seen from that
day. This helps us to reflect on the day and see the Lord's hand in
our lives. I am so grateful for this habit we have of counting our
miracles. But one of the biggest miracles of this week was the miracle
of a kid named Nosa. Nosa was born here in Spain but his parents are
from Nigeria. He's 15 and one day we were knocking on some doors
looking for someone and he answered one of the doors. He answered and
was super nice and mature and invited us to come meet with him the
next day. So we met with him and he was so attentive. It was a great
visit. Elder Bradshaw and I teach well together so the lesson went
really well and he told us that he would love to be baptized! So we
told him about a service we will be having in October and he said he
will get ready for that service! In the closing prayer that he
offered, he thanked the Lord for us and the friendship that we had
made in the past two days and he thanked the Lord as well for the Book
of Mormon and the light it could be for the world! And this was after
only the first time that he'd heard about the Book of Mormon! A great
kid with great potential.
Elder Bradshaw is an amazing hard worker. He is always thinking about
how to help the people in our area come to Christ. And if he's not
thinking about that he is thinking about the zone and how we can help
the zone. He is a really great leader and a great example to the zone
and me. We are going to be teachings in zone conference about how a
rising tide lifts all boats. We want everyone to just step up their
game just a bit so that the islands can see a lot of growth and
rapidly!
I am personally doing really well right now. I had a great week. I
love being able to go on intercambios and work with other people in
their areas. Each area here has a huge possibility of baptizing this
month and it is so rejuvenating to go and see other missionaries and
how they work! The week was amazingly topped off with concilio
yesterday. It was a wonderful meeting and I am excited to take what I
learned to the zone!
Jesus is the Christ. Y'all are the best.
With rejuvenated baptismal fire,
Elder Bristol
